Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 28 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PaddleHub ("PaddleHub", "we") handles your personal information when you use our website, apps and services. By using PaddleHub you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email and/or mobile number, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Player profile — city/region, gender (for category eligibility), self-rating or skill level, and a connected DUPR ID and rating if you choose to link one.
- Activity — tournaments and games you join, court bookings, coaching sessions, results, rankings and medals.
- Payment information — when paid features are live, this is processed by a certified third-party payment gateway. We receive confirmation and limited transaction metadata, but we do not store your full card or bank details.
- Device & usage data — basic technical information and, if you enable them, web-push notification subscriptions.
2. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and provide the services you request.
- To match you to suitable games and events, seed draws, and compute rankings.
- To process payments and settle amounts to clubs, organizers and coaches.
- To send service messages and, where enabled, reminders and notifications.
- To provide support, ensure security, prevent fraud, and improve the Platform.
3. How we share your information
We share information only as needed to run the Platform:
- Providers you transact with — a club, organizer or coach receives the details necessary to fulfil your booking, entry or session (e.g. your name and relevant contact/registration details).
- Payment gateway — a certified third-party provider, to process payments and refunds securely (once paid features are live).
- DUPR — if you connect a DUPR account, to retrieve and sync your rating.
- Service providers — hosting, database and notification providers that operate the Platform on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal — where required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Platform.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Notifications
If you enable web-push or in-app notifications, we use your subscription to deliver match alerts, reminders and updates. You can turn these off at any time in your device or app settings.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
7. Your choices & rights
You can review and update your profile in the app, disable notifications, and request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond in line with applicable law.
8. Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above, or minors using it under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children without such consent.
9. Data location & transfers
PaddleHub primarily stores data on servers in the India (ap-south-1) region. As we expand internationally, your information may be processed in other locations with appropriate safeguards.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
